I have always loved music. Doesn't matter what kind, I just love music. I started playing the violin when I was 9, I really was good, played in the orchestra.
Never really when back to music until I married a musician. Those were the fun days. Being in a studio at 3am, coming home when the sun was up....I never knew the real difference between day and night.
This is when I started producing music shows, cds, designing cd covers and labels. This was and is still good times.
I produced a show using two bands in Phoenix. It was about 3am in the morning and we were breaking down. The only instruments left on stage were two very full set of drums. These drummers did not carry light. When their drums were packed up it looked like luggage and they were going on a very long trip. Anyway, one drummer when up on stage and started playing. The other drummer watched for a moment and when up on stage and started playing. Each drummer took a 10 minute solo, they kept this up for about an hour. This was all adlib. The roadies and members of the bands and crew stood absolutely very still and watched. Damn, I thought if I only had the recording system up and running I would have wanted to save this session forever.
Many of you, I know, have had a moment like this...and like me will treasure the memory forever.
