Humor Helping Humanity and the productions of Red Nose Day...USA events began back in 2000 just after the “Patch Adams” movie came out, and made laughter a significant option in accelerating the healing process. (Apparently, endorphins are released into the body systems when laughter occurs, helping the healing accelerate... who knew?)

Anyway, we thought it would be a good idea to do something to have folks not get sick in the first place by giving them a “tool” to have some fun with, and make a few friends at the same time. Since that time a ton of realizations have taken place, some of which will be explained in these pages as we move along.

However, let us start by stating that over the past few years over 40,000 of these FUNdraiser toys have been donated during local neighborhood projects such as Long Beach Sister Cities events, Cal State Long Beach, Long Beach YMCA, Long Beach Museum of Art and Long Beach Unified School District projects which although raised several thousands of dollars for local literacy projects, was still in the “market research” stage of it’s life.

We now have plans to produce a Red Nose Day... where the entire school districts will be involved. This will be rolled out in October (Halloween) and will last until the Christmas holidays.

One really huge realization has been that these noses have absolutely no ethnic or religious agenda; they just want to have fun.
