SFBI offers a unique educational experience. We're the only school in the United States dedicated exclusively to artisan baking. We focus on teaching our students the how's and why's of baking, enabling them to control the baking process instead of following recipes. Our students receive an extraordinary amount of hands-on, real world experience with the latest baking equipment and technology. Select graduates of our professional program are given the opportunity to learn about all aspects of operating a retail bakery through internships in our bakery, Thorough Bread and Pastry.
SFBI hosts the selection and training for Baking Team USA, who compete in the World Cup of Baking. We also train baking teams from other countries.
