Carl F. Simmons, Ph.D. is President and CEO of Global Performance Solutions Inc., a company dedicated to helping America compete, in the 21st century by enhancing performance and performance capacity of organizations and individuals. Global Performance Solutions Inc., conducts corporate retreats, provides professional management and sales training, executive coaching, and offers Best Practices in strategic consulting, training services, and performance assessments and tools to Fortune 1000 companies, small businesses, and non-profit organizations, including Marriott, NBC/Universal, ESPN, IBM, XEROX, Franklin/Covey, United Way, etc.
Dr. Simmons has been actively engaged in business and education for more than twenty five years. His experience ranges from Sales Rep to Company President and from Teacher and Professor to College President. He has published 20 business articles in Business Digest, and The Improper Hamptonian. He has presented his Seminars on Success to more than 100,000 people throughout the United States and Internationally. He has conducted more than 170 Strategic Planning Retreats, and coached 100’s of “C” level executives.
He has published one book on Leadership and Management, The Power of Positive Management and is in the final stage of writing 6 Seeds of Greatness: The Making of a Champion. He also has written two other books: Pony Tales, a whimsical children’s story book; and Leisure in Our Changing Society.
Dr. Simmons is a thought leader and expert in: connecting strategy with operational performance; leadership development and executive coaching; organizational development; strategic partnerships/alliances, succession planning; marketing/sales planning; collaborative team building; entertainment management, and project management.
Dr. Simmons completed his doctoral course work at New York University, and received his degree in management from Pacific Western University. He earned a graduate certificate in communications at Hofstra University, and his bachelor’s degree in education at Slippery Rock State College, where he was an All-American football player.
In addition to his 25 years in business and education, Dr. Simmons played professional football for the New York Giants Organization/Long Island Bulls. Dr. Simmons is an active equestrian and environmentalist. He is also Chairman of the Equus & Equestrian Sport Foundation( www.equusfoundation.com ), dedicated to supporting horses and riders in competition from the local level to the Olympics. And, before relocating to Virginia Horse Country, he was an active member of the Reformed Church of America, where he often filled in for Pastor Allan Ramirez, Brookville, NY, conducting the service and delivering the message for more than a decade.
