Alan Abel, celebrated satirist featured in the Award-winning documentary “Abel Raises Cain,” is presently lecturing on “Using Your Wits To Win,” a humorous hour detailing unique ways to solve dozens of personal and business problems. His most prestigious engagement has been before 600 anthropologists at the American Museum of Natural History and he has received an invitation to the White House.
Recently he appeared at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA, the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Newcastle, England, the Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy, NY and as keynote speaker for Gibbs College graduation ceremonies.
Alan Abel was honored as a 20th-century cultural icon by LIFE Magazine’s publication, “Century of Change,” and he has been profiled by The New Yorker, Town and Country, The New York Times, Esquire, New York Magazine, Time Out, dozens of other magazines and hundreds of newspapers.
His eight published books include the best-sellers “Don’t Get Mad…Get Even!” and “How To Thrive On Rejection.” (W. W. Norton)
Featured television appearances include: Today, Tonight, Good Morning America, 48 Hours, 20/20 , Wogan (BBC), Front Page Challenge, The Great Debate

Alan is a graduate of THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY with a B.S. Degree in Education and he taught at THE NEW SCHOOL, receiving the W.C. FIELDS COMEDY AWARD.
