I am living proof that God has a sense of humor. I flunked Algebra three times in H.S. At 65, I still can't balance a checkbook. I went to music college with the thought that because I have keyboard and vocal talent, I might actually do well there. Wrong again. I flunked out of there also. People say it's because I majored in "Girls" instead of Piano and Voice. After squeaking through the U.S. Army years, 1966-68 with no scars except on my soul as a Chaplain's Assistant, I discovered that I really did have a singing voice. At the University of Kansas, I also discovered that I could be student material, and finally received a degree, after a bit struggle. After secular employment, a sense of meaning still begged an inner struggle and then I broke out, into seminary. The rest of the journey was just beginning. Much to learn.
