Dr. Beauchene received his undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario in London, ON, in 1978. He remained there to earn his M.D. in 1982, and completed a rotating internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital in London, ON, the following year. Dr. Beauchene completed two residencies at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario: one in neuropathology in 1984, and a second in ophthalmology in 1987. Dr. Beauchene is a certified ophthalmologist in both Canada and the U.S., and practiced in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario until 1998 and in Arizona from 1998 to 2002, when he joined the Eye Clinic of Wisconsin.
