I'm an identical twin, divorced and owned by two adorable cats who are convinced I exist solely to serve them. I was born in Baltimore, MD but grew up mostly in Milford, Ohio (a small town about 16 miles east of Cincinnati). I went to Milford High School where I learned German, played flute and piccolo in the band, tried to be an actress in the drama club and was considered a geek or nerd by most people. I worked as a bank teller at various banks then joined the air force in 1982, where I fixed radios and got to live in Italy, Germany and England (twice!) before going on extended TDY to Saudi Arabia being medical-ed out in 1994. I was married for 13 years and got divorced in 2007. I'm currently a scuba diver and underwater photographer, cantoring, playing flute and singing in the choir at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, going ballroom dancing a few times a week, participating the Society for Creative Anachronism events, learning Latin and Attic Greek, doing calligraphy and illumination, reading Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, trying my hand at writing fiction and poetry, and learning to be a gourmet cook and baker.
