Introduction
Oginating from Yorkshire in the UK, and now a citizen of the Cayman Islands and his home for the last 19 years. Stephen is the co-owner and operator of the premier dive shop in the Cayman Islands, Ocean Frontiers Ltd. He is also the developer of Compass Point Dive Resort, one of the first Green Globe Certified resorts in the Cayman Islands.

A two time recipient of Project AWARE's Environmental Achievement Award and responsible for his involvement in many environmental projects,
including: Shark Tagging & Research, Historical Wreck Mapping, Green Sea Turtle Satellite tracking, Dive Site Carrying Capacity Studies,Sea Water Temperature data capturing to monitor for Coral Bleaching and Culling of invasive Red Lionfish in Cayman Islands' waters.  With the assistance of Sustainable Travel International (STI), Stephen
developed the very first 'Carbon Offset Calculator for Divers'. This enabled divers to calculate the Carbon Foot Print for all their dives and offset it through STI.

Over the last two years, Stephen has lead a new initiative in the Cayman Islands called "Project Dive 365". This project has a goal of installing 68 new dive site moorings over a 5 year period and through
July 2011 has installing 32 new moorings in the Cayman Islands. The overall goal is to eliminate anchor damage to reefs and spread the load of divers visiting the Cayman Islands over a larger number of dive site to reduce the overall impact on the reefs from potential diver damage.

has served on the Board of Directors for the Cayman Islands Tourism Association (CITA) since 2004 as a Water Sports Director and as President for 2008 and 2009. Through this board he has contributed to various projects, including: creating and implementing new laws to protect Cayman's Stingray Attractions, advocating Cayman's Sustainable Seafood in restaurants with 'Cayman Sea Sense', organizing the Cayman Islands International Film Festival to spread environmental awareness and the sinking of the Kittiwake Navy Ship as a wreck dive and artificial reef.

Stephen's next project is to develop a Green Building Council LEED Platinum Certified property- which will be the very first in the Caribbean.
